Using Your Yoto Player for Let's Play Music and Sound Beginnings
Use a computer for this section because it's just easier than doing it on a phone with the downloading of songs.
How to put Let's Play Music and Sound Beginnings songs in your Yoto library:
Order a Yoto Player and any accessories you wish to use with it (headphones, adventure jacket, Make Your Own cards, etc.) and get 10% off your first order by using this link. Be sure to create an account as you are checking out to save time. While you wait for it to arrive, you can get started on creating your music library.
-
Download your class music at playmusic.customerhub.net and log in with the same email and password you used when you purchased materials.
-
Unzip your class music and save it to your computer.
-
Log in to your account at us.yotoplay.com and click "Make Your Own" at the top of the page.

-
Click the orange button "Visit library / Make playlist"

-
Click "Add Playlist"
-
Name the playlist and upload a picture for the album (I made my own graphics with the logos for all the curricula and I'd be happy to share if you just ask!)

-
Click "Add audio" and navigate to where you saved your downloaded music. Select all the songs and click "open"
-
Wait for all the songs to get uploaded
-
Click the icon next to the first song to change it.

-
You can select an icon for each song individually (or have your child do it because it's more fun that way) or you can select one icon for all the tracks to be the same if you select "Apply to all tracks" before you click the icon. The icons show up on the front of the Yoto Player as the tracks play. If you would like to have fancy LPM or SB semester icons, you can upload those in the "My Icons" section. I made some semester icons too and you can just ask me for those as well!

-
At the bottom of your list are a few options for playback. You can choose to change these options or leave them as they are. I prefer they are all switched off, but you can do what works for you!

-
Now you can click "Create"

-
Your new playlist will show up in your library. You can create as many playlists as you want. You can have a card for each playlist, or you can just reuse the same card and change which playlist the card is associated with as often as you like.

How to link your Let's Play Music and Sound Beginnings songs to a card:
Use your phone for this section because this is how you will be managing your Yoto Player.
-
Download the Yoto app for Android or iOS
-
Follow the setup instructions on the app. You will go through your home's wi-fi to set it up initially. Here is a little more information about what you can do with the Yoto app.
-
Once you've set up your player, you can click the "Library" button at the bottom of the screen. That will show you the playlists that you have made so far.
-
You can click on a playlist and it will open in the app. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Link to a card".
-
Select either option. You can put the card in the Yoto Player or you can hold it next to your phone.
-
Put the card in your Yoto Player and it will begin to download the information it needs to play your songs. It may lag a little between tracks the first time you play the card.
-
Your child will now be able to play the class music!
(Please let me know if any of these instructions need more clarification or if they are just wrong. I want to make this as easy as possible, so please help me help others by telling me how I can make it better!)
